Services include budget development, financial analysis, financial statement compilation, general ledger reconciliation, grant management, and cash flow and expense forecasting. Rising Business Consulting also provides fiscal training to staff, board members, and community partners, as well as team building opportunities through Emergenetics®.
History
Rising Business Consulting was started in 2018 by Mandy Potts, MBA, to provide financial management solutions and services to small business and nonprofit agencies. Mandy has worked in all sizes of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Although different in size, the bottom line remains the same. It takes strong financial management to sustain a positive growing business and it takes purposeful talent management to retain top talent.
Our Team
Mandy Potts, MBA, Lead ConsultantMandy Potts provides strategic planning and partnership development to grow RBC. During her career, she has spent over 20 years working for private and public corporations, with the last 15 years in government and nonprofit. Mandy holds a BS in Economics and a MBA from the University of Wyoming.
Prior to opening RBC, Mandy was the Director of Business Development and Senior Financial Consultant at NFP Partners. Before NFP, Mandy held the position as the Grant, Finance and Operation Director of Early Learning Ventures, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to quality early child care. Mandy also worked as the Assistant Budget Director at Colorado Community College System and as the Finance Manager at Denver Public Schools. Throughout these positions, Mandy managed the development and oversight of annual budgets as well as multi-year grant budgets and compliance for federal, state, local and private grants. Mandy has a passion for team building and leadership development. She is certified in Emergenetics, a personality profile that measures seven thinking and behavioral attributes, forming the basis of understanding one’s self and others on a personal and professional level. She has also earned a Training Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Mandy opened RBC to focus on nonprofits and help them build strong, viable, and sustainable businesses so they can focus on their mission. |
